About PassPPE
PassPPE was created from a place many engineers and geoscientists can relate to: uncertainty.
While preparing for the NPPE, I was also going through a layoff. Money was tight, and I found myself questioning what was actually worth paying for. Many prep options cost hundreds of dollars, while others promised complete P.Eng. courses but felt overly generic, rushed, or filled with basic examples that did not reflect the way the exam tests your understanding.
I built PassPPE because I wanted something different.
Our goal is simple: provide practical, affordable preparation that focuses on what matters most. PassPPE is built using the topics and reference materials recommended by the NPPE itself. Think of it as taking the key concepts from those textbooks and transforming them into a focused practice bank designed to help you apply the fundamentals through realistic, scenario-based questions.
We believe the best way to prepare for the NPPE is through consistent practice. The exam is not about memorizing every page of a textbook. It is about understanding the underlying principles and learning how to apply them.
PassPPE is constantly evolving. After every exam session, we ask users about their experience, gather feedback, and learn which topics they found challenging. We also speak with recent exam writers, experienced engineers, and geoscientists to understand current trends and perspectives. We then compare those insights against the official NPPE syllabus and recommended reference materials to ensure our questions remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with the spirit of the exam.
We are not trying to replace the textbooks. We are here to help you make sense of them, practice with confidence, and walk into the NPPE feeling prepared.
Because becoming a P.Eng. should not require spending hundreds of dollars just to access quality preparation. The fees alone are a lot, and we just want to provide useful resources at an affordable price.
From one engineer to another, we are cheering you on. Good luck, you got this!
